Chef Ricky Saward

While on an assignment for the magazine "Live Kindly" from New York I had the pleasure to photograph Ricky Saward, his concept is definitely authentic, harvesting and cooking vegetables that are right from his garden and being ethical about it.

Chef Sébastien Gaudard

While on my photographic mission for my book "Paris Patisserie", I had the chance to meet Sebastien Gaudard, a patisserie chef known as "the Little Prince" of Patisserie. His world-famous patisseries such as Les Religieuses and Saint-Honoré can be found in one of his two Salon de Thé in the heart of Paris.. other delicacies will delight your taste buds.

Chef Laurent Duchêne

I had the honour of photographing Laurent Duchêne, Chef Patissier Chocolatier (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) for the book "Paris Patisserie", which illustrates the patisserie scene in Paris. Supported by Kyoko, his wife and chef.

"For me, a cake has to be as beautiful as it is delicious!
While combining rigour and creativity, I like to renew the genres in terms of tarts, cakes and entremets, innovating while preserving the balance of tastes and textures, while respecting the basics of traditional pastry-making".

Food Photography: capturing the soul of Michelin-starred cuisine

Food Photography is more than just capturing mouth-watering dishes; it is the art of telling the story and conveying the passion behind each culinary creation. In the competitive world of fine dining, where every detail counts, photography is becoming an indispensable tool for chefs wishing to showcase their art and seduce their clientele even before the first bite.

The importance of photography in haute gastronomy cannot be underestimated. It serves as a visual bridge between the chef and his guests, transforming dishes into veritable works of art that awaken the senses and invite discovery. Successful photography captures the very essence of the cuisine: its textures, colours, and even the stories of the ingredients and traditions behind each recipe. It plays a crucial role in communicating the identity of a restaurant or chef, helping to build a strong and recognisable brand image.
